About Morris

I’m one of 3 founder of Circos.com. You can check out our company blog here.  I used to work at Microsoft, in R&D for 7 years and marketing for 3 years over 2 separate stints. Products I’ve worked on included Microsoft Access, Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic for Office, Works, Home Suite, .NET, and Visual Studio. In my marketing years I was responsible for .NET evangelism worldwide, with a particular focus on winning the hearts and minds of broad developers, student developers, and the faculty who taught them.

In between my 2 stints at Microsoft I did a few dot coms, including a couple of years at polo.com, where I became the CTO responsible for helping Polo Ralph Lauren go from a business that’s strictly brick-and-mortar to also have click-and-order.

We’ve been working on Circos since 2006. The technology we’ve built makes it easy for users to look for things according to their personal tastes and needs, using words they’d use when talking to their friends and family. When appropriate, we present them the point of view of relevant advertisers; each time this occurs, we earn revenue. That’s how Circos.com is supported.
